Introducing The CBS 4 Your Money Team
DORAL (CBS4) ―
The worst economic news in decades echoes from Wall Street to Main Street.
"The bottom line is we are seeing the trickle-down effects from Wall Street to Miami Lakes to Miami Shores to Little Havana. No matter what neighborhood you're in, you're going to be feeling the effects," said
Al Sunshine,
CBS4's consumer investigator.
That's why
CBS4 News has set up the "
4 Your Money" Team to start and end your day with what you need to know.
Al Sunshine reports on the markets and what they mean to you.
"There are all sorts of business channels out there. Why do we need to do this locally?"
CBS4's Antonio Mora asked Sunshine.
"The most important thing for us is to try to put the South Florida perspective on it. What does it mean to people in Little Havana? What does it mean to people in Broward County? What does it mean to people in the Keys? It's hurting all of our neighborhoods and we're going to be the main source to tell you how you're going to survive and how we're going to come out of this even stronger than ever," said Sunshine.
CBS4's Michael Williams reports on politics and the economy.
"Now, more than ever, people need to know what's happening with their money. How's it being spent in South Florida? How's it being spent in Tallahassee and Washington? How it's being spent, why it's being spent, what it means to your pocket book," said Williams, CBS4's political reporter.
CBS4's Gwen Belton reports on cutting corners.
"I think one of the smartest things we can do in these tough economic times is to be as informed as we possibly can on how to cut corners to save money," said Belton.
