Carey Codd is a general assignment reporter for CBS4 News. He is pleased to be in the position where he can help people to share their extraordinary and compelling stories.  Carey's reporting has spanned cops to courts, features to foreclosures.

Carey became a journalist because it melds the best aspects of his personality, specifically, his desire to educate, comunicate and motivate.

He came to WFOR from WPEC News 12, a CBS affiliate in West Palm Beach.  He covered Hurricane Katrina from New Orleans, the 9/11 attacks from New York City and the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster from Cape Canaveral.  While at WPEC, Carey was honored twice by the Florida Associated Press for individual achievement as a reporter.

Prior to West Palm Beach, Carey worked at SNN, Channel 6, in Sarasota, Florida. He holds a Master's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Miami and a Bachelors degree in Communications from Catawba College in North Carolina.

In their spare time, Carey and his wife Meredith love yoga, cooking and watching classic movies.
