E-mail Kimberley Chapin
The "Social Networker" of the web team, Kim is the youngest and often considered the strangest, with a variety of interests depending on the day. She moved with her husband to Miami in March 2007.

Kim graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan in August 2006 with a Bachelor's in Broadcast and Cable Operations and a minor in Japanese. She got her start in the news business as an associate producer at NBC affiliate WOOD TV-8 in Grand Rapids. There, she helped cover President Gerald R. Ford's funeral before moving to the assignment desk and then moving south.

At WFOR, Kim started as an associate producer before moving on to produce the weekend morning shows and then transferring to the web team.  There, she handles the station's Facebook and Twitter pages, writes general news and takes care of the gaming section.

The "gamer" of the group, Kim is most enthralled by technology of all sorts (computers and video game consoles taking precedence), animals of all shapes and sizes, and pretty much anything from Japan. She's a big fan of anything written and produced by Joss Whedon, fantasy books, Japanese animation and Disney.

Kim would like to return to school for a Master's degree and to further her education in Japanese. Her goals are to travel to Japan and to eventually climb the ladder to News Director.
