Natalia Zea is an award-winning journalist who works to uncover the real stories underneath the hype, and tell compelling stories that viewers won't see anywhere else.

She arrived at CBS4 News from WOAI TV in San Antonio, TX, where she focused on key issues affecting that community, including breaking a story about faulty fire equipment that put firefighters and San Antonians in danger for months.

Natalia covered Hurricane Katrina from New Orleans- before, during and after the storm. Though the storm itself was horrifying, she feels the stories about the thousands of families stranded in shelters really show the ultimate devastation that storm caused.

Natalia also worked for KDBC TV, the CBS affiliate in El Paso, TX. During her time there she crossed the border into Ciudad Juarez, Mexico dozens of times to cover the heartbreaking stories about the string of serial rapes and murders of low-income women in that city.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Natalia later moved to the colder climate of Denver, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in Political Science. Now she's thrilled to live in Miami, and living so close to the ocean.

In her spare time, Natalia enjoys spending time with friends, skiing, hiking, and playing pool.
