Shannon Hori anchors CBS4's 5 PM, 6 PM and 11 PM weekday newscasts with Antonio Mora.  She came to CBS4 in June 2007 from KTVT/CBS 11/Dallas where she anchored the morning show.

While in Dallas/Fort Worth, Shannon was sent to cover the busy 2004 Florida hurricane season and contributed features on former Dallas Cowboys players for the "The Troy and Babe Show," for which she received a 2005 Lone Star Emmy Award.

Prior to KTVT, Shannon worked for six years at WESH-TV, the NBC affiliate in Orlando, where she anchored the weekday 5:30pm newscast, reported for the 11pm news and was nominated for two Emmy Awards. Some of the stories she covered while in Florida included the deadly Florida tornadoes of 1998, the Presidential election of 2000, and the Columbia Shuttle disaster, for which the station won a national Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Award. She also contributed reports to a series on home inspections that won a 2004 Peabody Award. Shannon has also worked as the morning anchor for WLKY-TV, the CBS affiliate in Louisville, Kentucky and WTWO-TV, the NBC affiliate in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Shannon is on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami, a non-profit organization which matches children to mentors.  She is also volunteering as a big sister herself (for the third time).  She is very proud of the Neighbors 4 Neighbors program at CBS 4 and often contributes stories about what people are doing in the community to make a difference.

Shannon graduated from Indiana University with a double major in journalism and speech communications.  In her spare time she loves doing anything outside and reading.

She and her husband have a very well-trained black lab named Maddy Ann, who is a release dog from Canine Companions from Independence.
