Jade Alexander is a Morning Anchor for "CBS4 News This Morning" from 5 – 7 AM and co-host of My33's "Jim & Jade in the Morning" from 7 – 9 AM. Previously, she was WFOR's weekend morning anchor and its entertainment reporter.

Originally majoring in Secondary Education, Jade switched to a career in Radio Broadcasting in April of 1990. Six months later, owner and general manager of WHYI/Y-100 (the oldest top 40 station in the country), Dave Ross, spotted Jade and immediately hired the inexperienced broadcaster as a studio assistant. Raw talent, a strong voice and the ability to commandeer a crowd contributed to her quick promotions and almost immediate name recognition in the Miami market. By 1998, Jade became co-host of the newly revamped Y-100 Morning Show, bringing her South-Florida/Cuban-American roots to the ensemble. The magnificent morning team made an instant impact with drive-time listeners and won the coveted "Best Morning Show" award at the South Florida AIR Awards eight months from it's debut.

Throughout her successful, decade-long radio career, Jade periodically worked in television as well. She hosted telethons and had her own segment on the local CBS entertainment show "The Scene". Jade was as comfortable in front of the camera as she was in front of a microphone, and it showed. In 1999, Jade was once again scouted by a general manager, Steve Mauldin of WFOR/CBS-4. Having spotted her on the cover of the November 1998 issue of MIAMI METRO MAGAZINE, Steve invited Jade to join the CBS-4 news team as the Entertainment/Lifestyle reporter. Jade covers celebrity interviews, movie junkets, special features and on-location remotes.

Having worked simultaneously in radio and television for two years, Jade eventually made the choice to focus on her television career. The transition was smooth and the ability to stay in her hometown was a blessing. In the fall of 2001, Jade appeared on Hollywood Squares and received the prestigious "First Ladies of Broward" award for her continuous volunteer efforts in the South Florida community and her commitment to animal causes.

This high-energy Miami girl has Spanish and Greek heritages. Jade enjoys dancing, working out, traveling abroad and spending time with her family. She's a dedicated professional with a passion for the industry and credits her good fortune to her mother's unconditional support and her absolute faith in God. There's only one word to describe Jade Alexander: Unstoppable…
