New Baseball And Skater Park Erected In Miami
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Skaters and baseball players will have a new field to practice on.
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara Jordan dedicated a new skate park and baseball field Thursday at Country Village Park at 6550 NW 188 Terr.
The new park includes a concrete ramp designed for skaters and equipment for various levels of play. The park will also include covered area for spectators and walkways.
The recent addition is part of Miami-Dade Parks' plan to build more ramps for skaters at county parks ranging from the north to the south end of Miami-Dade County.
Other parks expected to get skater ramps include South Dade Park, Westwind Lakes Park, North Trail Park, Kendall Indian Hammocks, and Amelia Earhart Park.
They lost their popular features for skaters due to damage from previous hurricanes.
