CBS4 Your Money: Housing Crisis, Gas Prices, Taxes
UNDATED (CBS4) ―
CBS4 Your Money on Monday reports on a new poll that states 60 percent of Americans say they won't buy a home soon.
The poll suggests one in seven mortgage holders fear they may not be able to to make their monthly payments on time during the next six months.
The Associated Press-AOL Money and Finance survey also finds that more than a quarter of homeowners who were surveyed are worried their home will lose value over the next two years.
GAS PRICES
It'll come as no surprise to motorists, prices at the pump have reached another record. According to Triple-A, the price of unleaded gas in Miami has reached $3.46 a gallon. In Fort Lauderdale, it's a bit lower at $3.42 a gallon. The average statewide is $3.41 a gallon, which is about four cents more than the national average of $3.37 a gallon.
TAX DEADLINE
One day and counting until the Tuesday night tax deadline. Tax returns have to be postmarked before midnight on April 15th.
If you've never had to file a tax return before, you'll need to file this year in order to be eligible for the economic incentive payment, better known as the tax rebate.
