S. Fl. Mom Invents Stroller Lock For Peace Of Mind

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Going to a theme park, restaurant, zoo or traveling somewhere? A South Florida mom has created a stroller lock that will protect your investment so you can pay attention to your kids.

Among the many things moms worry about when they head out with their children is not having anything stolen, including their strollers because some can be quite expensive.

But South Florida mom Annette Atteridge invented The Buggy Guard, a kind of bike chain but for strollers.

"A lot of time you are chasing your kids around the park and you have to leave your stuff somewhere so it's a good idea to keep it secure," said mom Erin Jadd.

"You can't always be taking everything with you following your kid around," explained the mom turned inventor.

It's easy to use and specially designed for kids.

"We go to parks and I felt that I was always looking over my shoulder to make sure my stroller was still there instead of focusing on my kids," explained Atteridge.

With the Buggy Guard, you can lock the stroller to a pole or tie it to itself.

"Wrap it around two wheels if you didn't have a stationary object to wrap it around just click scramble the dial and you are ready to go," said Atteridge.

The Buggy Guard costs $24.95. They come in fun shapes for kids. There's the pink piggy, brown monkey, and black and white panda; coming soon is the blue hippo.
