IRS Admits Mistakes In Rebate Check You Didnt Get

IRS Says Up To 350,000 Tax Rebate Checks Wrong

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Tell us: has your IRS Stimulus Check Been Mis-Directed?

There's a glitch in the government's plans to pump $150-billion into the economy by sending taxpayers a rebate: some rebates aren't arriving.

If a rebate check hasn't been direct deposited yet, one may have to wait for a check to be received in the mail.

The delivery of those checks could be delayed as late as July 11th.

About 1,500 Florida taxpayers have been affected by that glitch.

The IRS also pointed out that even if it made a mistake, if you receive money in your bank account to which you are not entitled, the IRS will demand re-payment if you spend it.
