Spa Customers Find Locked Doors, Services Owed
Simple Aesthetics Closed Their Doors Last Month
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Customers of Simple Aesthetics day spa are upset because the business is 'simply' gone - along with their money.
Last month the spas, located in Coral Square, the International Mall in Miami, and shopping centers in Pembroke Pines and Miami Beach, unexpectedly closed their doors angering hundreds of customers who had paid thousands of dollars up front for services like massages, laser hair removal and beauty treatments.
So far the shopping center/mall management companies and various state agencies have failed to track down the spas' owners to find out if their customers will be getting a refund, according to
The Sun-Sentinel.
According to a check of state records Simple Aesthetics was not listed with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation or the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. It was also not listed with the Department of Health which regulates businesses that perform laser hair removal.
The Florida Attorney General's Office says so far this year they've received five complaints against Simple Aesthetics. To file a complaint, spa customers can call 866-966-7226 or file one online at
