A fraternity house at the University of Miami is in trouble with the law; two people have been arrested and more are expected.
Coral Gables Police raided the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity house on Liguria Avenue early Friday morning. Inside, investigators say they found an undisclosed amount of Marijuana and Concerta, a prescription ADHD drug some people use to get high.
One student told
CBS4 News the frat house is known for selling drugs. "It doesn't surprise me," Joe Anderson said. "They're known for that. It's well-known on the campus that this is what they're in to."
The University has a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal drugs on campus.
The Executive Director of Zeta Beta Tau was informed of the situation by University officials. They are reportedly cooperating fully with police and the University.
According to the Zeta Beta Tau website,
"The mission of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity is to foster and develop in its membership the tenets of its Credo: Intellectual Awareness, Social Responsibility, Integrity and Brotherly Love in order to cultivate leadership and service within their communities. Mindful of its founding as the Nations first Jewish Fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau will seek to serve the undergraduate Jewish populations at colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada. All men of good character will be eligible for membership in Zeta Beta Tau."
