This week Charlie Crist announced that he was petitioning the Florida Supreme Court to empanel a grand jury to investigate corruption throughout the state. As political theater goes, the governor's press conference was rather pedestrian. There was no flare in the performance. No show-stopping moments. If he really wanted to sell the idea that he was angry about the recent spate of corruption across the Sunshine State, he needed to do something dramatic. Pound his fist on the podium or flip over a table like a New Jersey housewife.
The attorney for missing Fort Lauderdale attorney Scott Rothstein says his client will return to South Florida "within the next 24 to 48 hours." Marc Nurik an attorney with Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler, who resigned from the firm to represent Rothstein told CBS4 News Tuesday morning that Rothstein will be coming home to address the allegations that he stole hundreds of millions of dollars from the law firms clients and from investors in what has been described as an elaborate Ponzi scheme involving investments in bogus structured settlements.
