Pennington Named Starting Quarterback
DAVIE (CBS4) ―
To no surprise, Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano named Chad Pennington his starting quarterback when the team opens its season September 7 against the New York Jets.
Pennington, who was released by the Jets on August 7 after New York acquired Brett Favre, has played in two preseason games completing 16-21 passes for 149 yards and one touchdown.
Rookie Chad Henne most likely will Pennington's backup during the season.
