NFL owners have at least one potential ownership problem ahead of them if conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh continues bidding on the St. Louis Rams. But, the owners have approved Fergie, of the Black Eyed Peas, to become a part owner of the Miami Dolphins.
Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas currently have a marketing partnership with the Dolphins and will appear from time to time on the monitor during the game. She's wearing a pink Dolphins jersey in an October campaign for breast cancer awareness.
If an agreement can be worked out for Fergie to become a part owner, she would join a growing list of entertainment figures as owners of the Dolphins. Musicians Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Jimmy Buffett, Marc Anthony, and tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams have already bought small shares of the Dolphins.
