Patriots 59, Titans 0
Tom Brady threw six touchdowns and New England (4-2) beat winless Tennessee (0-6) on a historical night. The 59 point-difference was the most since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970, Brady's six TDs tied his own career-high mark, and New England's 619 yards on offense was a club record.
Bills 16, Jets 13
This one went on. And on. And on. Until Rian Lindell connected on a 47-yard field goal with 2:44 left in overtime. Buffalo (2-4) sent New York (3-3) to its third straight loss, and the Bills did it without starting quarterback Trent Edwards. Ryan Fitzpatrick filled in for the injured Edwards, who left in the second quarter with a head injury.
Vikings 33, Ravens 31
Brett Favre led the game winning drive and Minnesota (6-0) got lucky as Baltimore (3-3) missed a potential game-winning field goal at the final whistle. Favre had a 58-yard completion to set up kicker Ryan Longwell's FG, and Steven Hauschka missed his kick wide left to finish it. The Vikings started on a roll, and went into the half ahead, 14-0. The Ravens rallied, though, and quarterback Joe Flacco threw two touchdown passes in the fourth to get within six. Ray Rice scored for Baltimore to make it 31-30 with 3:37.
Saints 48, Giants 27
Drew Brees had 369 yards and four touchdowns as New Orleans (5-0) handed New York (5-1) its first loss of the season. Brees torched the Giants' league-leading defense, and the Saints took a 34-17 lead going into halftime. Seven different players scored for New Orleans, which is unbeaten through five games for the first time since 1993.
Texans 28, Bengals 17
Matt Schaub threw four touchdowns as Houston (3-3) held off Cincinnati (4-2). The four passes tied a career-high for Schaub, whose 392 yards were the highest this season. Owen Daniels caught two of those passes for the Texans, who held off a Bengals team that's been winning games late they won three straight games in the last 22 seconds.
Packers 26, Lions 0
Aaron Rodgers shook off five sacks and Green Bay (3-2) shutout a beat-up Detroit (1-5) team that was playing with its third string quarterback. Matthew Stafford missed the game because of a knee injury, and backup Daunte Culpepper hurt his hamstring against the Packers, who recorded a shutout for the first time since 2007.
Steelers 27, Browns 14
Ben Roethlisberger had two touchdown passes and Pittsburgh (4-2) beat Cleveland (1-5) for the 12th time in a row. Roethlisberger was 23 of 35 for 417 yards in his second career 400-yard game. He threw touchdowns to Heath Miller and Hines Ward in the second quarter to put the Steelers ahead, 14-0. The Browns' Derek Anderson had a tough outing. He fumbled the ball twice and threw an interception while completing 9 of 24 passes for 122 yards.
Panthers 28, Buccaneers 21
DeAngelo Williams rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns and Carolina (2-3) ran all over Tampa Bay (0-6). Jonathan Stewart added 110 yards and a touchdown out of the backfield for the Panthers, who didn't need much from quarterback Jake Delhomme. Carolina carried the ball 48 times and Delhomme was 9 of 17 for 65 yards.
Chiefs 14, Redskins 6
Ryan Succop kicked four field goals and Kansas City (1-5) picked up its first win of the season for rookie coach Todd Haley against Washington (2-4). The Chiefs avoided their first 0-6 start in team history and used their rookie kicker to do it. Succop had field goals of 39, 46, 46, and 24 yards to beat the Redskins, who replaced quarterback Jason Campbell with veteran Todd Collins.
Jaguars 23, Rams 20
Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns as Jacksonville (3-3) kept St. Louis (0-6) unbeaten. Jones had touchdowns in the first and fourth quarter, the latter to put the Jags ahead, 20-17, with 1:53 left in the game. Josh Brown connected from 27 yards to tie the game for the Rams, but Josh Scobee hit a 36-yarder in overtime to win it.
Raiders 13, Eagles 9
Oakland (2-4) bounced back from a beat down against the Giants to a week 6 victory against Philadelphia (3-2) in California. After David Akers kicked a field goal for the Eagles, JaMarcus Russell made the big play everyone's been looking for. He connected with Zach Miller for an 86-yard touchdown pass for a 7-3 lead that the Raiders wouldn't relinquish.
Cardinals 27, Seahawks 3
Kurt Warner tied an NFL record for being the fastest to throw for 30,000 yards in a career as Arizona (3-2) beat Seattle (2-4) on the road. Warner threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns while completing 32 of 41 passes. The Seahawks couldn't get anything going on offense, and finished with 128 total yards, 14 rushing.
