Marc Anthony May Get Involved With Miami Dolphins
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Singer-songwriter Marc Anthony may become the latest celebrity to take an active role with the Miami Dolphins. Fins owner Stephen Ross is talking with Anthony about becoming a minority owner with the team, according to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald. A news conference with the two has been scheduled for Tuesday in New York at the Time Warner Center.
The move is in line with Ross' desire to have more celebrities involved with the Fins franchise. Anthony would join Gloria and Emilio Estefan and former Dolphins majority owner Wayne Huizenga as minority owners. In addition, Ross has partnered with Jimmy Buffet and renamed Dolphin Stadium to Land Shark Stadium.
If an agreement is reached, Anthony, 40, would join Gloria and Emilio Estefan and former Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga as minority owners in the team. Ross also has a partnership with Jimmy Buffett.
According to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald, Anthony is expected to perform at the Oct. 12 Jets-Dolphins Monday night football game in Miami.
