The changes on the Pro Bowl roster keep on coming.
That's just fine with Miami Dolphins' kicker Dan Carpenter, who was picked to replace San Diego Chargers kicker Nate Kaeding on Wednesday.
"It's an honor to be named to the Pro Bowl and especially this year since the game will be played in Miami," said Carpenter in a press release.
"I am looking forward to representing the Dolphins, I know I wouldn't be here without the help of my teammates, especially Brandon (Fields) and John (Denney) as well as Coach Sparano and Coach Bonamego and Coach Rizzi."
Of the 87 Pro Bowl players on this year's roster, 31 are replacements. That includes Carpenter and Dolphins' safety Yeremiah Bell, who took place in the first practice on Wednesday.
The new Pro Bowl game format - the game is being played the week before Super Bowl as opposed to years past - has forced the AFC and NFC champions to bow out. Seven Saints players and seven Colts players won't play, and Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers is the sole quarterback originally chosen who will play.
That's just fine with Washington linebacker London Fletcher, who got in after Saints' linebacker Jonathan Vilma dropped out.
"I'm here now so I'm thankful, blessed to be here. I'm just happy to be here. Once I knew I was going to the Pro Bowl, I was so excited about it that I didn't sleep for two days," said Fletcher.
