Dolphins Defensive Back Sued By Former Agent

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Miami Dolphins defensive back Will Allen's legal troubles continue to mount during the 2008 offseason. His former agent, according to the Palm Beach Post, is now suing him for nearly $200,000.

The money comes from outstanding fees from the four-year, $12 million contract he signed with the Dolphins in 2006.

Tom Condon, from the Creative Arts Agency, put together the deal between Allen and the Dolphins. But, CAA filed a grievance with the NFL Players Association because it had not received the 3 percent commissions from either 2006 or 2007.

An arbitrator agreed with CAA's position and said Allen had defaulted on the payments. Allen is now represented by Drew Rosenhaus.

Allen has another outstanding legal issue in Davie, where he allegedly pulled a gun on a man. The victim claimed Allen pulled a gun on him when reimbursement was demanded for a loan Allen allegedly made to the victim. The state will decide if Allen faces charges over the firearm, while the issue over money would be a civil matter.
