DMX Is Arrested In Miami
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Rapper DMX is in trouble with the law again, after he was arrested in Miami-Dade County on Monday.
Miami-Dade Police say the 37-year-old rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was picked up about 1:30 p.m. Monday on an arrest warrant for having no valid driver's license.
He was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Institute, where a spokeswoman said he remained behind bars at about 5:30 p.m. His bond was set at $500.
DMX has had a number of scuffles with the law in recent years, most recently last month in Arizona, where he pleaded not guilty to felony drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.
A message left with a New York attorney who has represented DMX was not immediately returned Monday.
