Doctors at Mt. Sinai Hospital are treating rocker and Miami Beach resident Lenny Kravitz for bronchitis and dehydration; he's postponing his upcoming European tour because of the illness.
Kravitz was set to begin the promo trip this week. It was to run through the end of March, accompanying the release of his new album, "It Is Time for a Love Revolution."
His spokeswoman Carleen Donovan says in a statement that Kravitz had been struggling with a series of severe respiratory tract infections and the flu since mid-January.
Donovan says Kravitz was suffering from dehydration and fatigue, and that doctors advised him to check into the hospital. He was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.
In a statement, Kravitz apologizes to his European fans saying he's disappointed but needs time to rest and get healthy.
Kravitz's European trip will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
