Sliming Undergarments for Men Hit Store Shelves

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Nowadays, it seems more men are open to the idea of getting a makeover. Because of this a new product promises to help them cut some corners while looking and feeling better. It's a new line of slimming under garments designed specifically for men.

"You have to come in here and try your best to look your best," said Cedric Williams, who knows what it takes to look good.

Williams works out at Crunch Fitness on Miami Beach 7 days a week.

"I come to the gym to look good and feel good," said Oliver Davis, another gym member who talked to CBS4's Jorge Estevez.

We found them at Crunch Fitness, a place known for innovative workouts, so we showed them an innovative idea: an under garment for men designed to improve their self esteem. It's called Equmen.

"It is going to give you a boost of confidence, and that means different things to different guys," said Michael Flint, who works in sales and operations for the company.

The stretch technology enhances posture, takes pressure off your back and slims you down--from tanks to tees, to socks and underwear, which all provide lift and tuck in the appropriate places.

"It does have targeted compression along the fold. so it gently lifts the butt," said Flint as he described the underwear.

Back at Crunch Fitness, the two men at the gym tried out the tank tops that boast the technology. "I feel more support," said Davis. "Your posture feels good and your stomach feels flatter," said Williams to CBS4's Jorge Estevez.

It doesn't beat hitting the gym, but it's an interesting idea that is available at Sax Fifth Avenue, starting at $52 dollars and going up as high as $110 dollars.
