Tired of the same old Super Bowl pre-game show? Are you looking for some cute and cuddly excitement before the coin-toss? Then you need to know that Super Bowl Sunday isn't just about football.
Before the big men in pads take the field for their gridiron, TV viewers will be able to watch some four legged players that are ready to rumble and 'ruff" their way to victory.
Animal Planet will trade in linebackers for Labradors and quarterbacks for Corgis on the network's "Puppy Bowl IV" on Sunday, February 3rd from 3:00 6:00 p.m.
Get in the game with tackles, fumbles and fouls from playful pups that just can't get enough of the action.
And what's a bowl game without the halftime show? Frisky kittens return for an all-new edition of the Bissell Kitty Half-Time Show.
The first Puppy Bowl was shown in 2005.
The puppies featured in Puppy Bowl are from shelters, and the show contains information on how viewers can adopt rescued puppies and help their local shelter.
Puppy Bowl II averaged 690,000 viewers for its broadcast (a 23 percent increase over Puppy Bowl I).
Five million people in total watched Puppy Bowl II throughout its three airings.
Puppy Bowl III aired on February 4, 2007, with the addition of the Tail-Gate Party.
Puppy Bowl IV will be the first Puppy Bowl broadcast in High-Definition.
