11-Year-Old Interviewer Receives Scholarship

MIAMI SPRINGS, Fla. (CBS4) ― An 11-year-old who created an online buzz in 2008 when he scored an interview with then-vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden was presented with a full scholarship to Albany State University on Saturday morning.

Damon Weaver interviewed Vice President Biden and ended the question and answer segment by saying, "Senator Biden is now my homeboy."

Albany State University is in Georgia and has also offered the pint-size journalist free summer sessions throughout both middle and high school. The scholarship was originally offered to Damon earlier in 2009.
