Jade Alexander Hosts St Jude Angels & Stars Gala

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Daisy Fuentes and a host of celebrities were on hand to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at their fifth annual FedEx/St. Jude Angels & Stars Gala Saturday night at The Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Miami.

The gala featured live performances by legendary Grammy Award winner José Feliciano, pop singer and multi-platinum recording artist Christian Castro, Grammy Award winning Cuban singer and composer Albita, and Universal Music Latino Colombian pop-tropical singer Fanny Lú.

CBS-4's Jade Alexander hosted the nights festivities, which also included a cocktail reception featuring a silent auction and a testimonial by a St. Jude patient survivor.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, founded in 1962 by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, is one of the largest centers in the world for research and treatment of pediatric cancer.

St. Jude has more than 4,600 patients in active status and has treated children from across the United States and more than 70 foreign countries. Patients are admitted based on medical criteria regardless of their race, religion or their family's ability to pay for the treatment.
