Norman Brothers' Annual Event Slated for Nov. 6

Wine Tasting & Open House to benefit the University of Miami - Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD)

MIAMI (CBS) ― Norman Brothers Produce, a Miami landmark and family owned business, located at 7621 SW 87th Ave. Miami, Florida, will host its annual Wine Tasting & Open House to benefit the University of Miami - Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD), on Friday November 6th, 2009 from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

The evening will feature wines from around the world as well as Norman Brothers own signature hors d'oeuvres and desserts. The Wine Tasting & Open House is open to the community. Tickets to the evening are $30.00 in advance or $40.00 at the door and include a take home wine glass courtesy of Bistro Bisou. The funds raises through event ticket and raffle ticket sales will go to support UM-NSU CARD services in our community. Last year's Wine Tasting and Open House was a huge success with Norman Brothers donating over $14,000.00 to UM-NSU CARD.

University of Miami - Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD), a South Florida non-profit organization, is committed to providing FREE family support, outreach, and educational support services to children and adults of all levels of intellectual functioning. The Center provides services for over 5,000 families throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties including family support, technical assistance and consultation, parent and professional training programs, and public education activities. UM-NSU CARD supports research in a variety of disciplines to better understand the causes and potential treatments for the disorder.
