MIAMI (CBS4) ― If you're hungry for a good meal but don't want to spend a fortune, CBS4'S Lisa Petrillo can help with another of her "Cheap Eats" reports. Lisa has put her taste buds to the test once again, in order to find some of South Florida's best restaurants with delicious meals under ten dollars.

You know you've arrived at an authentic down home barbeque spot the minute you pull up to the "Georgia Pig Barbeque Restaurant", located at 1285 South State Road 7 in Davie.

This family owned and operated business has been serving up their famous deluxe barbeque pork sandwiches since 1953. Owners Wayne and Joanne Anderson say it's the authentic wood burning pit that keeps customers loyal for decades.

"We have an open barbeque pit. It isn't smoked and it's not an oven. Not many people do what I do," explained owner Wayne Anderson.

The pork is cooked and then chopped and placed on fresh buns, served with homemade coleslaw and French fries for around $7.00 and it's all homemade, including the cockadoodle chicken noodle soup made with cream cheese and sour cream.

Lisa Petrillo ate the soup and said it was "hands down, the best chicken noodle soup she's ever had."

Next stop, "Sonny's Famous Steak Hoagies", located at 1857 NW 66th Avenue in Hollywood, where customers can smell the bread baking and the steak cooking from outside the restaurant. It's celebrating its 50th year in business. Owner John Nigro couldn't be more proud to be at the helm.

"The steak is actually rib eye steak that we slice thin and we slice throughout the week. Our sauce is all homemade that we make here," said Nigro.

The juicy ribeye sizzles, then comes the provolone cheese, fried onions and it's all topped with that famous Sonny's homemade sauce. "We make our own meatballs and our own dressing," said Nigro.

Faye and Jim McCoy had their first date here 46 years ago. "When our children were first born this was their first outing. We took my grandchildren here. When they were 6 weeks old, they were here at Sonny's," said Faye McCoy.

So why did they come here on their first date? Jim McCoy answered with a laugh, "It's cheap."

If you want all you can eat and want to still feel like you're eating healthy, then dive into "Sweet Tomatoes" at the Oakwood Plaza in Hollywood, located at 2906 Oakwood Boulevard.

A 30-foot salad bar awaits customers with every kind of lettuce, veggies, toppings and pastas. Eight soups are offered daily and an assortment of breads, fruits, baked potatoes and even a yogurt bar.

"It's a family oriented restaurant. Our purpose is to provide fresh wholesome food, with excellent service and to enhance lives," said General Manager Keith Lumyou.

This is a place where customers can load their plates with everything they desire from the salad bar, soups and desserts and still go back for more and more, all for the price of $7.69. That's all you can eat at a price that can't be beat.
