Gridiron Griller: The 'End Around' Kielbasa
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
Mr. Food stopped by the Gridiron Griller set in October to put together one of his simple, yet tasty recipes for all tailgate and backyard BBQ enthusiasts to enjoy. He got caught up in the moment and out of his mouth came the creative football name for this sausage morsel.
In football, the classic End-Around is an offensive play where the receiver loops back behind the line of scrimmage to get a handoff from the quarterback. This misdirection play entices the defense to over-pursue, while the receiver gets a simple hand-off and takes the ball in the opposite direction.
Mr. Foods is definitely the receiver in this play pattern. The simplicity of his recipes tend to make one over-pursue, until just at the last moment, he comes up with a simple wrinkle to catch you napping!
