Nintendo DSi owners are more connected than ever beginning Monday, August 3rd. Using the hand-held gaming system and the camera application, Facebook members can take pictures with either of the cameras and upload photos directly to their profile.
The new function will be available with a free downloadable system update, which will be released after 5 p.m. Pacific time.
The update will add a "Facebook" icon on the system's touch screen, making the program as easy-to-use as possible. The only requirement is that the system be connected to a wireless broadband Internet connection.
More than 1.7 million DSi units have been sold in the United States alone, according to the NPD Group. The third version of the world's best-selling hand-held video game system includes voice-manipulation features, two cameras and photo editing software. It also features parental controls.
