No April Fool's Joke, Gas Prices Up Again

MIAMI (CBS) ― Gasoline prices are on the rise again as signs of a struggling economy continue to shift consumer confidence.

The average price of a gallon of gasoline has hit the $3.28. It has spiked up 12 cents in the past month and 63 cents when compared to this time last year.

In Miami, AAA, reported the average gas price for a gallon of regular is now at $3.39, up 10 cents in just the past month.

For Drivers in Ft. Lauderdale the average stands at $3.35, up 11 cents since March 1st.

Statewide gas prices also continue to rise as the average price for a gallon of regular stands at $3.33.

Analysts don't think that prices will drop relatively or level off anytime soon.
