ORLANDO (CBS4) ―
As we near the long Memorial Day holiday weekend the price at the pump continues to edge up across South Florida, but it is still no where close to what we were paying a year ago.
The American Automobile Association's Fuel Gauge report shows gas prices have risen about a dime on average in Florida over the last week. Statewide, regular unleaded is averaging $2.33 a gallon as of Sunday, May 17th. This time last year it was averaging around $3.81 a gallon. Prices in Florida are a bit higher than the national average of $2.29 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
In Miami Dade drivers are paying more than both the state and national average.
