Rebagz Revamps Recyclables Into Trendy Totes

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Would you carry a purse made of used plastic and trash? That's the idea behind a new line of bags that are environmentally friendly and fashionable.

Take some juice bags, roll out a rice sack and you might end up with Marty Stevens Heebner latest line, because the eco-friendly entrepreneur believes one woman's trash is another woman's tote.

Heebner has always been a recycler, but while doing humanitarian work in Mexico she realized that rubbish can be all the rage. It is waste weaved together, with plastics reused. She also bags some of the proceeds from sales for Greenpeace and the Breast Cancer Emergency Fund.

And Heebner not only believes in being eco-friendly but also human-friendly. She works very hard to promote a very happy work environment for all of her employees.

Those "Rebagz" are sold in 400 stores in five countries, including South Florida. The bags cost anywhere from $15 to $160.
