MIAMI (CBS4) ― The Subway Get Fit Challenge will soon be coming to an end but our challengers are still working hard in order to continue shedding those unwanted pounds.

During the tough competition, the challengers have relied on our team of experts; trainers and weight loss consultants from Physicians Weight Loss Center, but in one more week, those experts will disappear and the three weight loss contestants will be left to fend for themselves.

It's been a long road for the contestants but all have enjoyed success.

With one more weigh in left, this week's Wednesday weigh-in shaped up like this:

TJ Brooks lost another 8 pounds. His new weight is 326 pounds, a total weight loss of 69 pounds.

Joseph Grooms lost another 11 pounds. His new weight is 427.5 pounds. He's lost a total of 50.5 pounds.

Karen Jones lost nothing this week. Her weight stands at 254.5. Her total weight loss is 15.5 pounds.

TJ's trainer says TJ's workout is intense but knows he can keep it up.

"TJ needs to do what he's been doing," said trainer Joseph Goodrich.

While Karen is in last place, her trainer says Karen just needs to apply the knowledge she's learned about working out and eating right.

"Some people give up if we're not there to push them, but they have all the knowledge to go the rest of the way," said trainer Alice Phillips.

Dr. Rashmi Murthy with Physicians Weight Loss Centers says it's important for the challengers to remember to "use yourself for motivation. The motivation is going to have to become internal now."

Not only are they going to have to rely on themselves, consistency will be vitally important.

"Be consistent, and don't fall of the wagon," explained Joseph's trainer Scott Camoins.

The contestants say they will certainly take the advice from their team of experts with them as they practice their new diet and exercise in the future, by themselves.

We'll have updates on the Get Fit Challenge every Wednesday and the finalists are also blogging online at CBS4.COM/GETFIT.
