MIAMI (CBS4) ― Day two of Oprah's Best Life Week focuses on health. Oprah's friend and favorite doctor Zehmet Oz creates a wellness plan we can all live by in 2009.

"The tests you need to take if you really want to overhaul your well being and vitality in 2009. We're going to give you the tests, the vitamins you need to take, the supplements you need to be taking, the foods you need to be eating," said Winfrey.

Dr. Oz believes the biggest mistake people make about their health is they think it's all about their genes.

"Two-thirds of how you age by the time your age 50 is about your lifestyle not your genes at all," explained Oz.

We all know there are a number of elements that make up a healthy lifestyle. But according to Dr. Oz, one simple task must be part of your routine and that's walking.

"When we look around the world at people who lived the longest it's the one characteristic they all share. So get out and walk an extra 30 minutes than you normally move around. Your goal is to get about 10,000 steps a day," said Oz.

During Tuesday's show you will also learn how simple lifestyle changes can improve your health including getting more sleep and having more sex.

"If you double the amount of sex you're having if you're a male it will increase your life expectancy three years. You can use that as an excuse," laughed Oz.

Dr. Oz and his "Ultimate Health Checklist for 2009" can be seen Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. on CBS4.

Immediately following the show on CBS4 News, we will have a phone bank of local medical experts from the University of Miami waiting to answer any health questions you might have. Just call (305) 597-4404 beginning at 5:00 p.m. to have your health questions answered for free.

Oprah's week-long series called Oprah's Best Life Week continues Wednesday when Oprah takes on the topic of spirituality and how to find deeper meaning in your everyday life.

On Thursday, January 8th, financial expert Suze Orman talks about how to eliminate credit card debt; how to save money; and the rules for retirement.

On Friday, January 9th, it's all about relationships, intimacy and sex with Dr. Laura Berman.

Winfrey is also hosting interactive live Web casts at Oprah.com the week of Jan. 12 to 16 every night at 9:00 p.m.
