Turning Back The Hands Of Time
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
It's not easy to turn back the hands of time, but it's relatively simple to reverse the signs of time on your hands.
As
CBS4's Cynthia Demos found out, all you need is five minutes.
Paula Moizel knows as we get older nothing is picture perfect. But hands down these are where age really shows.
"I have lost volume the skin is thinner. I do see a lot of veins and some wrinkling and it would be so nice to get rid of it," admitted Moizel.
"Many times a woman's face looks so youthful but the hands many times show age," said dermatologist Dr. David Anron who uses Radiesse to plump up Paula's hands.
Radiesse is a dermal filler stimulates the body to produce new collagen and is ideal for correcting the signs of aging. Once the Radiesse is injected, it has to be massaged into the hand to smooth it out.
"I really think Radiesse on the back of the hands is really safe and there are really few complications; actually I haven't had any from it," said Dr. Anron.
The entire procedure takes about 5 minutes, but there is a small risk for bruising.
The treatment costs between $12 hundred and $2 thousand and results last up to a year.
"It looks much better. It's smoother and looks plumper. I feel fantastic. This was the easiest procedure, and I don't think my hands have ever looked better," Moizel gushed.
Radiesse was originally approved two years ago by the FDA to smooth and fill smile lines, facial wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth.
