Miami HEAT Take Over Flagler Street

HEAT Generate Buzz In Front Of Dade County Courthouse

Flagler Street Between NW 1st Ave. & Miami Court Closed From 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

MIAMI (CBS4) ― It's going to be HOT in Downtown Miami Monday afternoon as Miami HEAT players Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks join members of the HEAT Entertainment Team in front of the Dade County Courthouse in Downtown Miami to help create buzz for the upcoming 2008-09 HEAT season.

Flagler Street between NW 1st Avenue and NW Miami Court will be closed as the HEAT entertain pedestrians and spectators with music, fan interaction, and a one-on-one basketball game between the two HEAT players; played on the hoop aboard the HEAT's customized 1952 vintage fire truck, the Fireball Express.

The HEAT Dancers will also be there, along with the Xtreme Team, and Burnie the Mascot.

They'll also be giving away team T-shirts and car magnets, among other items. Several lucky fans will receive an autographed basketball signed by the HEAT players.

If you're interested in buying tickets, HEAT ticket sales representatives will also be on hand.

The HEAT take over Flagler Street from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., in front of the Dade County Courthouse.
