Heat's 2008-2009 Schedule Is Out

MIAMI, FL (CBS4) ―

The Miami Heat announced their 2008-2009 regular season schedule on Wednesday that has Shaquille O'Neal and the Phoenix Suns coming to town on March 4th.

The Heat opens its season on the road at New York against the Knicks on October 26 and then two days later on Halloween Night it's the home opener against the Sacramento Kings.

O'Neal will get to play his former team earlier in the season when the Heat visits the Suns November 28th.

Other hilights from the Heat's home schedule include a home game against the champion Boston Celtics on January 21st and the match-up of the Chicago Bulls' Derrick Rose and the Heat's Michael Beasley, the top two picks in the NBA Draft, December 26th.     

The defending Western Conference champion Los Angeles Lakers come to Miami on December 19th.

The Heat has 13 national televised games.
