Mourning Finding Out The House Always Wynns

Heat center's charity organization sued for $50,000

LAS VEGAS (CBS4.com) ― Heat center Alonzo Mourning's charity organization has been sued by the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas. The casino claims Alonzo Mourning Charities owes $50,000.

According to the Wynn Casino, the charge came from convention and meeting space and related services used during the 2007 NBA All-Star game, which was held in Las Vegas.

The casino originally named NBA Entertainment and NBA properties in the lawsuit, but later said those two groups were included in the lawsuit by accident and would be removed from the suit.

This is not the first time the Wynn Casino has crossed paths with an NBA legend in court. In May, media outlets across the country reported the Wynn had filed a lawsuit against former NBA All-Star Charles Barkley. The casino said Barkley owed $400,000 in gambling debts and another $40,000 in district attorney's fees. Barkley paid off both fines within days of finding out about the lawsuit.
