Forbes: Miami Worst City To Be A Sports Fan

Dolphins and Heat have gone 16-82 over the last year.

MIAMI (CBS4.com) ― The dismal state of Miami sports teams has now landed the city as the number one worst sports city for fans in America, according to a report by Forbes.com. Arguably the two top sports teams in the city, the Miami Heat and Dolphins, have combined to go 16 – 82 in the last year.

Compounding the horrible play on the field/court, ticket prices in Miami to watch one of the pro teams continue to increase.

According to Forbes, the median household income for the Miami area stands at $38,632. That median income ranks fifth lowest of the 29 major sports markets the magazine investigated. The cost for a family of four to watch a professional sports team averaged out to $292.50.

When combined, Forbes ranked that as the worst deal for sports fans in the U.S. Miami dropped to the bottom, ranking worse than San Diego, Indianapolis, New York and Cincinnati.

While the Miami Heat did win the NBA title in 2006, the Dolphins have not sniffed the Super Bowl since 1984, when Dan Marino was torching defenses around the league.
