Starbucks Spreads Holiday Cheer With Tree Giveaway

MIAMI (CBS4) ― A national coffee chain will be providing plenty of holiday cheer for 200 South Florida families.

To kick off its 12 Days of Cheer, which is 12 days worth of surprise events which give back to the community, Starbucks is giving away free Christmas trees.

Starbucks officials will buy 200 Christmas trees from the Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade tree lot, located at 2805 SW 32nd Avenue and give them to the first 200 families as they arrive.

The tree giveaway takes place from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

The company says it values the local community and wants to take the opportunity to give back during a rough economic time for many South Florida families.

The tree giveaway is first come, first served and supplies are limited to the 200 trees.

In the past, Starbucks has made it snow, bought out the tolls for commuters on 836 and donated educational supplies to local schools.
