Seaquarium Opens Children's Trust Exhibit

Exhibit features 70 children waiting for adoption

MIAMI (CBS4) ― The Miami Seaquarium unveiled a special display to benefit The Children's Trust on Friday, the first night of Monster Splash Nighttime Bash, and gave children featured in the Heart Gallery exhibit a special treat.

The children, and CBS4's child-at-heart Christina Loren, slipped in to wetsuits to get up-close and personal with some Dolphins at the Seaquarium. The purpose of the face-to-face, if you will, meeting was to help let the children discover the magic of interacting with the mammals.

"Basically, Miami Seaquarium decided to join forces with the Children's Trust Miami Heart Gallery.  We've invited the children to come out and do a Dolphin Encounter here at Dolphin Harbor," said Seaquarium Spokesperson Carolina Perrina.

The new exhibit at the Seaquarium features portraits of 70 children in the foster care system that are up for adoption. The exhibit will be on display from October 24th until December 15th.

The Monster Splash Nighttime Bash runs until 10:00 p.m. on October 31.  A portion of the proceeds from the Monster Splash Nighttime Bash will go to benefit the Heart Museum.
