Children's Trust Heart Gallery - Frankie

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Three-year-old Frankie has a smile that will melt your heart.

So many things are new to Frankie. For the first two years of his life, he was cared for in a nursing home. He had a tracheotomy, was oxygen dependant, on seizure medication, ate from a bottle and couldn't even walk.

But now, he no longer has a trach, he's off medication and like most kids his age he's an energetic child you can hardly keep up with.

The Miami Seaquarium made special arrangements to let Frankie get up close with a dolphin, a totally new experience for him and for me.

Frankie loves to be held and to laugh. Doctors say he's making progress, but he can't talk just yet. So his reaction was the only way he could communicate that the dolphins were a little intimidating. After all, they look especially big to a child. But he enjoyed the other animals.

He's very inquisitive. His foster father says he loves cars and music.

In a loving home Frankie will bring smiles to your face.
