Children's Trust - Robert & Jamarcus
Robert and Jamarcus Are Looking For Loving Parents
MIAMI (CBS4) ―
As part of CBS4's series on some very special children hoping to be adopted - Shannon Hori would like you to meet Robert and Jamarcus from the Children's Trust Miami Heart Gallery. They are two curious boys who are looking for parents to call Mom and Dad.
Jamarcus, 7, has always wanted to be a firefighter. So Miami's Fire Rescue Department agreed to let Jamarcus, and his brother Robert, 8, become 'firefighters for a day'.
CBS4's Shannon Hori said it first was a little hard to tell the brothers apart, so she had big brother Robert tell her about Jamarcus.
"He's bigger than me and he runs fast," said Robert.
As for little brother Jamarcus, he says Robert "likes football and basketball. He likes to on airplanes."
The boys love to do things together and even in the hot sun they didn't mind putting on the heavy uniforms worn by Miami firefighters.
During the course of the day, the boys got to sit in the fire truck, use the horns and sirens, fire off a water hose, go up in cherry picker style basket on top of the firetruck and just have fun in general. At the end of the day they were ready to join the fire service. But before that happens they need a family to raise them. Currently, they live together in a foster home and are looking for a Mom and Dad they can call their own.
Parents in Miami Dade interested in adopting Robert and Jamarcus or any other child from The Children's Trust Miami Heart Gallery, please call The Children's Trust Helpline at 211 where specially trained Switchboard of Miami counselors are standing by, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in English, Spanish and Creole.
