The Wait Begins For Housing Assistance In Hialeah

HIALEAH (CBS4) ―

The Hialeah Housing Authority announced it has opened its public housing waiting list.

Application forms are being distributed and will continue between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. until Thursday, July 3rd, at Hialeah Park, East Fourth Avenue and 32nd Street.

Completed applications must be submitted by mail only to: Hialeah Housing Authority, P.O. Box 110670, Hialeah, FL 33011.

Applications will not be accepted in person. Applications returned or mailed to other locations and those sent by certified mail, Federal Express, UPS or other similar means will also not be accepted.

The deadline for returning applications is July 10th and applications must be postmarked on that date or earlier and be received by the housing authority no later than July 17.

A lottery will be held to determine the ranking on the waiting list for each applicant. It will be at 9 a.m. July 19th at the Manuel Artime Performing Arts Center, 900 SW First St.
