MIAMI (CBS4) ―
South Florida's stormy weekend weather was a not so subtle reminder that this year's Hurricane Season is less than two weeks away.
In fact, this week is Hurricane Preparedness Week and
CBS4 would like to remind you that it is never to early to stock up on the essential items you'll need.
First, make sure you have plenty of non-perishable food and water, at least enough to last for several days. Next, check your flashlights and don't forget about those all important spare batteries. And finally, every home hurricane emergency supply box should have a first aid kit.
The best way to survive Hurricane Season is to be prepared.
CBS4 has compiled a guide on virtually everything you need to get ready to weather the storm, including videos on things like preparing your home and possessions. We can't stop the wind, but we can give you the tools to get through it! To check it out,
