After the waves have finished crashing into the seawall at the foot of Duval Street, residents and visitors have returned to the Florida Keys.
Most residents who evacuated were allowed to return by midday on Wednesday.
The U.S. Post Office and the public school system resumed their regular schedules, as well as all busineses and government offices.
The first major influx of tourism dollars for Key West was early Thursday when Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas docked with 2,441 passengers on board.
