As South Florida keeps an eye on Tropical Storms Hanna, Ike and Josephine, the talk around town is just how much impact each storm will have on Miami Dade and Broward counties.
At Lester's Diner in Ft. Lauderdale,
CBS4 reporter Liv Davalos caught up with some early morning customers on Wednesday who were filling up on a hearty breakfast as they discussed their storm preparations. With three systems churning out in the Atlantic, most at the diner agreed its best to be prepared just in case a storm sets its sites on South Florida.
"I'm a little bit nervous, but I'm prepared," said Richard Moews, "I'm ready, you just do what you can do, keep an eye on them and see how close they come to Florida."
Some diners, like Christian Fiorenza, had adopted more of a 'wait and see' approach.
"I'm not too worried," said Fiorenza, "I don't get worried until all the sudden everybody says batten down the hatches."
For those who haven't checked their hurricane supplies since Tropical Storm Fay, now would be the time to do so.
Make sure you have plenty of groceries and water, batteries for flashlights and gas if you have a propane grill.
