A CBS4 I-Team investigation into your safety has uncovered troubling instances of pilots falling asleep at the switch in the cockpit. We all know what happens when we fall asleep behind the wheel. Imagine the same thing happening while flying a commercial airplane. The CBS4 I-Team discovered it's happening a lot more than you might think.

Dangerous chemicals are turning up in waterways across the nation and are being detected in sentinel animals --- Florida alligators. Chief I-team investigator Michele Gillen went on a rare mission to show us how deformities and abnormalities in "baby gators" could affect our health and future. We begin our journey just before sunset, awaiting a cloak of darkness to hide our presence. This I-Team mission is on a course to enter into " part of Florida that most people never see, because most people come off these lakes as the sun goes down."
