"Bird Road Rudy" Sentenced To 6 Years In Prison

MIAMI (CBS4) ― A reputed gang leader who taunted South Florida police to come and get him on an Internet video will be spending the next 6 years behind bars.

Convicted felon Rudy Villanueva, known as "Bird Road Rudy" was sentenced Wednesday after he pleaded guilty earlier this year to 'possession of a firearm'.

Villanueva had faced a maximum of 10 years in prison. He and another man, Anthony Logan, were arrested in January after a video was posted on the popular internet site YouTube that showed them with an AK-47 assault rifle and other weapons.

They also made threats against the Miami-Dade police department's gang unit and challenged the police to come and arrest them. Police did just that.

Logan also pleaded guilty to weapons charges.
