Police Seek Man Who Nearly Abducted 12-Year Old

Girl Was Nearly Abducted In Homestead

If You Recognize Sketch, Call Crime Stoppers: 305-471-TIPS

HOMESTEAD (CBS4) ― Miami-Dade Police are on the hunt for a man who nearly abducted a 12-year old Homestead girl and they want your help to find him.

Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect wanted for the attempted armed abduction which took place around 8:00 a.m. Thursday October 9th in the area of SW 288th Street and 152nd Avenue. That's close to Modello Park, where many families and children visit to play and let off some steam.

Now, parents want this man off the streets. "It is very scary and there are a lot of kids and they don't know any better of who is going to be good or bad something should be done about it," mother Iris Moreno told CBS4 Reporter Sharrie Williams.

The suspect is described as a black man, 5' 10", between 25 and 32 years, muscular build, brown eyes and black hair. He had gold teeth (upper and lower), and three moles on his right ear. He also had a tattoo on his left forearm and a light discoloration on his right arm. He was wearing a gold chain and a Jesus charm.

Mother Patricia Wilson says she'll keep a watchful eye out, since she has four daughters of her own. "I'm afraid and I'll be out here every Saturday with my kids and weekdays for practice. If I see him now I would get my kids and haul tail."

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
